Studio Art & Design

Our Studio Art Program helps students develop their artistic voice through drawing, painting, mixed media, and conceptual exploration. Students build–and build upon– foundational skills in observation, color, composition, and perspective before advancing to portraiture, performance art, collaborations, and community-based experiences.

The program culminates in AP 2D Art & Design, where students create a College Board portfolio centered around a self-selected theme. At every level, students showcase their work in the annual NDHS Gallery, with advanced students helping curate and prepare the exhibition.
