Students read poetry in the park, perform one act plays learned in just two days, explore Central Park with their Science teacher and photograph their physical activity with their Gym teacher. These are just of the few activities that took place during this year's intersession. Every year, New Design Staff and Teachers organize three days of educational enrichment activities to expose students to learning experiences outside of the classroom. Staff create classes based on their own personal interests allowing students to choose from topics such as "Math and Magic," "Glee Club," "Capoeira," "Wardrobe Warrior," "Nutrition Expedition" and "3-D Design Challenge." This innovative formula creates a unique opportunity for collaboration among students and adults, deepening relationships and paving the way for more effective mentorship opportunities.
